αLipoic Acid (ALA), also known as thioctic acid, is a naturally occurring compound that is synthesized in small amounts by humans. Although ALA is a potent antioxidant in the test tube, ALA supplementation may affect health by stimulating glutathione synthesis, enhancing insulin signaling, and modulating the activity of other cell signaling molecules and transcription factors . One of its only side effects is reducing blood sugar values. We also recommend for peripheral neuropathy or nerve pain. Dosage: 300mg – 600mg twice a day.
